The Chaos Of Standing Still by Jessica Brody (Non. spoiler Review)

Goodreads Synopsis

Published Date: November 28, 2017

Genre: Ya contemporary.

No.Of Pages: 406

Publisher: Simon and Schuster.

My Rating:

My Review:

this is the best contemporary book I have ever read in my entire life absolutely one of my top favorites this year I usually don’t cry while reading any book but this one is the second book who made me sob this year the first one was ( The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah). It has a deep meaning, not like any other Christmas books but in a cute and easy, light way the main characters were so engaging the writing style makes you feel all of there feeling like you are living in them and the Romance was so beautiful I always love this kind of one day romance 😍 and honestly I love airports so the sitting of this book was perfect for me

It has very long chapters (19~27 p) and I don’t like the books which have long chapters it always gets me bored but here with this book I keep turning the pages so fast because the chapters have a very unique storyline and each chapter divide in two settings so didn’t get me bored at all.

So the sitting of this book was incredibly amazing how genius Jessica Brody is she made me laugh, cry and fall in love just in one day book 😍 So if you Looking for a beautiful holiday, a heartbreaking contemporary book I highly recommend this one 😉

My top favorite Quotes :

The Book starts with beautiful lyrics songs wich is my favorite song to Passenger😍

“ I’m encouraging you to survive. Out there. In here, I don’t care what you do. You can act tough, you can fall to pieces, you can pretend like you don’t feel betrayed by the world. This is a safe space. But out there is very different. people won’t understand. Strangers won’t automatically know what you’re dealing with. If you don’t want people to ask questions, then you’re going to have to do a better job convincing them there’s nothing to know. you have to sell yourself ”

“ I had a Get Out of jail Free card and I chose to rip it up. I chose to lock myself in my cell and throw away the key. What is the matter with me ”.

” “ If you want to be the best at something,” She replied, “ you have to just jump right in. ”

“ I thought you said if you want to be the best at something, you have to learn from the best.” “

“ I can’t feel warm when it’s that cold outside.

It’s not fair. It’s not allowed.

Nothing can feel good if she still gone. How that ever make sense?.”

“ Grief changes the way you see things forever. Because it changes you forever.”

“ It’s just quiet sadness.

Sadness that I’ll carry around for the rest of my life .

Sadness that I’ll eventually learn to live with.

Sadness that will become a part of me. Shape me. Make me stronger. „

“Contrary to what some people think, White isn’t the absence of color. It’s all colors. It’s all things. It’s every possibility blended into one blinding light.”

My most anticipated book releases of 2019 (part 2)

Hello book lovers 😍

here it is part2 Of my most anticipated releases of 2019 , I saw that I forgot to write the genre of each book in part 1 I’m really sorry for that but I’m going to write them here in this post 😉 so let’s start the post

1) Sorcery Of Thorns by Margaret Rogersonv

Release Date: June 4, 2019.
Genre: Ya, Fantasy.
No.of pages: 464.
All sorcerers are evil. Elisabeth has known that as long as she has known anything. Raised as a foundling in one of Austermeer’s Great Libraries, Elisabeth has grown up among the tools of sorcery—magical grimoires that whisper on shelves and rattle beneath iron chains. If provoked, they transform into grotesque monsters of ink and leather. She hopes to become a warden, charged with protecting the kingdom from their power.
Then an act of sabotage releases the library’s most dangerous grimoire. Elisabeth’s desperate intervention implicates her in the crime, and she is torn from her home to face justice in the capital. With no one to turn to but her sworn enemy, the sorcerer Nathaniel Thorn, and his mysterious demonic servant, she finds herself entangled in a centuries-old conspiracy. Not only could the Great Libraries go up in flames, but the world along with them.
As her alliance with Nathaniel grows stronger, Elisabeth starts to question everything she’s been taught—about sorcerers, about the libraries she loves, even about herself. For Elisabeth has a power she has never guessed, and a future she could never have imagined.

The hotel’s charismatic young van driver shares the same nocturnal shift and patronizes the waterfront Moonlight Diner where she waits for the early morning ferry after work. Bewildered by this inexplicable book and desperate to make sense of how his own life came to be recorded, Zachary uncovers a series of clues — a bee, a key, and a sword — that lead him to a masquerade party in New York, to a secret club, and through a doorway to a subterranean library, hidden far below the surface of the earth.

What Zachary finds in this curious place is more than just a buried home for books and their guardians — it is a place of lost cities and seas, lovers who pass notes under doors and across time, and of stories whispered by the dead. Zachary learns of those who have sacrificed much to protect this realm, relinquishing their sight and their tongues to preserve this archive, and also those who are intent on its destruction. Together with Mirabel, a fierce, pink-haired protector of the place, and Dorian, a handsome barefoot man with shifting alliances, Zachary travels the twisting tunnels, darkened stairwells, crowded ballrooms, and sweetly soaked shores of this magical world, discovering his purpose — in both the mysterious book and in his own life.

To do so, she has bound the wicked king, Cardan, to her, and made herself the power behind the throne. But he does everything in his power to humiliate and undermine her even as his fascination with her remains undiminished.

This is the sequel to The Cruel Prince which was one of my most favorite books in 2018 😍 I feel like I’m the only one who hasn’t pre-order it yet but I want to get the Owlcrate limited edition box but unfortunately I’m on the waiting list 🙈 so I don’t yet from where I will get it.

But while Nina’s mother is a prominent member of the Watcher’s Council, Nina has never embraced the violent Watcher lifestyle. Instead, she follows her instincts to heal, carving out a place for herself as the school medic.
Until the day Nina’s life changes forever.
Thanks to Buffy, the famous (and infamous) Slayer that Nina’s father died protecting, Nina is not only the newest Chosen One—she’s the last Slayer, ever. Period.
As Nina hones her skills with her Watcher-in-training, Leo, there’s plenty to keep her occupied: a monster fighting ring, a demon who eats happiness, a shadowy figure that keeps popping up in Nina’s dreams…

Turns out the computer’s owner is an investment manager. To thank Fixie for her quick thinking, Sebastian scribbles an IOU on a coffee sleeve and attaches his business card. In the wake of the tragedy, Franny found solace in a group of friends whose experiences mirrored her own. The group calls themselves The Ordinary, and they spend their free time investigating local ghost stories and legends, filming their exploits for their small following of YouTube fans.
