Goodreads Synopsis:
Kimi Nakamura loves a good fashion statement. She’s obsessed with transforming everyday ephemera into Kimi Originals: bold outfits that make her and her friends feel brave, fabulous, and like the Ultimate versions of themselves. But her mother sees this as a distraction from working on her portfolio paintings for the prestigious fine art academy where she’s been accepted for college. So when a surprise letter comes in the mail from Kimi’s estranged grandparents, inviting her to Kyoto for spring break, she seizes the opportunity to get away from the disaster of her life.

When she arrives in Japan, she loses herself in Kyoto’s outdoor markets, art installations, and cherry blossom festival–and meets Akira, a cute med student who moonlights as a costumed mochi mascot. What begins as a trip to escape her problems quickly becomes a way for Kimi to learn more about the mother she left behind, and to figure out where her own heart lies.

A fresh and addictive fantasy-romance set in modern-day Seoul.

Eighteen-year-old Gu Miyoung has a secret–she’s a gumiho, a nine-tailed fox who must devour the energy of men in order to survive. Because so few believe in the old tales anymore, and with so many evil men no one will miss, the modern city of Seoul is the perfect place to hide and hunt.

But after feeding one full moon, Miyoung crosses paths with Jihoon, a human boy, being attacked by a goblin deep in the forest. Against her better judgment, she violates the rules of survival to rescue the boy, losing her fox bead–her gumiho soul–in the process.

Jihoon knows Miyoung is more than just a beautiful girl–he saw her nine tails the night she saved his life. His grandmother used to tell him stories of the gumiho, of their power and the danger they pose to humans. He’s drawn to her anyway.

With murderous forces lurking in the background, Miyoung and Jihoon develop a tenuous friendship that blossoms into something more. But when a young shaman tries to reunite Miyoung with her bead, the consequences are disastrous . . . forcing Miyoung to choose between her immortal life and Jihoon’s.

Goodreads Synopsis:
Calla Fletcher wasn’t even two when her mother took her and fled the Alaskan wild, unable to handle the isolation of the extreme, rural lifestyle, leaving behind Calla’s father, Wren Fletcher, in the process. Calla never looked back, and at twenty-six, a busy life in Toronto is all she knows. But when Calla learns that Wren’s days may be numbered, she knows that it’s time to make the long trip back to the remote frontier town where she was born.

She braves the roaming wildlife, the odd daylight hours, the exorbitant prices, and even the occasional—dear God—outhouse, all for the chance to connect with her father: a man who, despite his many faults, she can’t help but care for. While she struggles to adjust to this rugged environment, Jonah—the unkempt, obnoxious, and proud Alaskan pilot who helps keep her father’s charter plane company operational—can’t imagine calling anywhere else home. And he’s clearly waiting with one hand on the throttle to fly this city girl back to where she belongs, convinced that she’s too pampered to handle the wild.

Jonah is probably right, but Calla is determined to prove him wrong. Soon, she finds herself forming an unexpected bond with the burly pilot. As his undercurrent of disapproval dwindles, it’s replaced by friendship—or perhaps something deeper? But Calla is not in Alaska to stay and Jonah will never leave. It would be foolish of her to kindle a romance, to take the same path her parents tried—and failed at—years ago. It’s a simple truth that turns out to be not so simple after all.

BED383BC-E527-49BC-8FE4-0F5355390ACC

Author: Lauren graham ( Gilmore girls’s actor) 😍.
No.of pages: 340.
Genre: womens fiction, contemporary, Romance.
published date: April 30th 2013.
publisher: Ballantine Books.
order link: Amazon

Goodreads Synopsis:
A charming and laugh-out-loud novel by Lauren Graham, beloved star of Parenthood and Gilmore Girls, about an aspiring actress trying to make it in mid-nineties New York City.

Franny Banks is a struggling actress in New York City, with just six months left of the three-year deadline she gave herself to succeed. But so far, all she has to show for her efforts is a single line in an ad for ugly Christmas sweaters and a degrading waitressing job. She lives in Brooklyn with two roommates – Jane, her best friend from college, and Dan, a sci-fi writer, who is very definitely not boyfriend material – and is struggling with her feelings for a suspiciously charming guy in her acting class, all while trying to find a hair-product cocktail that actually works.

Meanwhile, she dreams of doing “important” work, but only ever seems to get auditions for dishwashing liquid and peanut butter commercials. It’s hard to tell if she’ll run out of time or money first, but either way, failure would mean facing the fact that she has absolutely no skills to make it in the real world. Her father wants her to come home and teach, her agent won’t call her back, and her classmate Penelope, who seems supportive, might just turn out to be her toughest competition yet.

Someday, Someday, Maybe is a funny and charming debut about finding yourself, finding love, and, most difficult of all, finding an acting job.

My Review:

Do you ever feel that when you finish a book you real like it that you want to read (living) it again immediately? That what happened to me after reading this beautiful, I become obsessed by it, I dream about it as well.
It was soo real, romance and heartbreaking book, I got hooked from the first page! It is the best love triangle book I have ever read, because this love triangle wasn’t childish or fake at all it was so real.

sPwZYAUSKA9MY.gif
I love Taylor Jenkins Reid’s writing style it was so super easy, relaxing and simple she become one of my top favorite authors, also I love that the book was Emma’s (The Maine character) Diaries so it was perfect for me to see her comments about what had happened to her and her real feelings. Also I have loved the sitting of the book because there was bookstore on the book and I love that soo much. And also this book not only about romance there are family and sisters issues. I have loved al of the character they are so real and engaging.
The only thing I take against this book is that Emma’s husband survival it was a little bit cliche. But I deal with it, it didn’t stop me from enjoying the book so much.
The ending gets me soooooo angry I want another thing but I like the ending too , i can’t describe that because if i, i’ll spoil everything but all I can tell now that the ending broke my heart into million pieces. 😭

20190226-000.gif

At the end I highly recommend it to everyone one If you want easy, romance read that makes you feel like you’re watching movie as it have (the notebook, The vow..) vibes, I assure you that you will never find anything better than that book 😍!

“ When you lose someone you love, it’s hard to imagine that you’ll ever feel better. That, one day, you’ll manage to be in a good mood simply because the weather is nice or the barista at the coffee shop on the corner remembered your order.

But it does happen.

If you’re patient and you work at it.”

.

“I hope you know how beautiful and freeing it was to love you when you were here.

you were the love of my life.

Maybe it’s selfish to want more; maybe it’s greedy to want another love like that.

But I can’t help it.

I do.”

.

“ you don’t tie yourself to something unless you’re scared you might float away.”

.

“ Do you ever get over loss? Or do you just find a box within yourself, big enough to hold it? Do you just stuff it in there, push it down, and snap the lid on it? Do you just work, every day, to keep the box shut? ”

.

“ I love you until we’re so old we can barely walk on our own and we have to get walkers and put those cut up yellow tennis balls on them. I love you past that, actually. I’ll love you until the end of the time.”

1545140812149~23169706315664139978..jpg

Goodread Synopsis:

Into every generation a Slayer is born…

Nina and her twin sister, Artemis, are far from normal. It’s hard to be when you grow up at the Watcher’s Academy, which is a bit different from your average boarding school. Here teens are trained as guides for Slayers—girls gifted with supernatural strength to fight the forces of darkness. But while Nina’s mother is a prominent member of the Watcher’s Council, Nina has never embraced the violent Watcher lifestyle. Instead she follows her instincts to heal, carving out a place for herself as the school medic.

Until the day Nina’s life changes forever.

Thanks to Buffy, the famous (and infamous) Slayer that Nina’s father died protecting, Nina is not only the newest Chosen One—she’s the last Slayer, ever. Period.

As Nina hones her skills with her Watcher-in-training, Leo, there’s plenty to keep her occupied: a monster fighting ring, a demon who eats happiness, a shadowy figure that keeps popping up in Nina’s dreams…

But it’s not until bodies start turning up that Nina’s new powers will truly be tested—because someone she loves might be next.

One thing is clear: Being Chosen is easy. Making choices is hard.

1545140812149~23169706315664139978..jpg

My review:

“ Into every generation a Slayer is born: one girl in all the world, a chosen one. She alone will wield the strength and skill to fight the vampires, and force of darkness; to stop the spread of their evil and the swell of their number. She is the Slayer.”

I went through this hoping to find a new favorite vampire book but unfortunately it killed all my hopes and expectations and as long as I think about it, it becomes a 2.5 ⭐️ read to me. Honestly I didn’t watch Buffy the vampire slayer series i have only watched 1 or 2 episodes of the first season but I’m planning to watch the whole series next month but anyway it doesn’t matter because I understand everything had happened in the book but It didn’t have any of my favorite tropes that I like in a vampire books.

28bjIdeP3C8iFLN8wI.gif
so here they are the things I didn’t like about the book :
1) The world building was so lacking there wasn’t a lot of action scenes and it had nearly zero romance . The main character talk about herself and her feelings and how she deals with herself being a Slayer more than the actions which was kinda boring for me.

TlK63EI7rtUu9IAyxTW.gif
2) The Romance was so childish and it didn’t get me intereste until the end of the book. I became more comfort with it.
3) the demons aspect here was so peculiar and hilarious but I can’t say how without spoilers so I will not spoil anything, but I didn’t like that at all it really annoys me because I love action, creepy and dark demons / vampire books !
But there are also somethings I did like about the book and here they are :
1) The main character have a twin sister and I love there relationship so much they are so loyal to each other and kind 😍

13cgadB959Y0BW.gif
2) The ending of the book was much better than the whole book it could bring something enjoyable and great in the next book hopefully because this book is going to be a book series .
So after all I recommend it to you if you want to read something funny atmospheric supernatural book which have a cliffhanger ending and hopefully you will enjoying it more then me 😉

My Review:

” I have heard that for mortals, the feeling of falling in love is very like the feeling of fear. Your heart beats fast. Your sense are heightened. You grow light-headed, maybe even dizzy „

This book was a little bit smaller than the cruel prince but it was more pretty than the cruel prince which I gave 5/5 stars last year but comparing with The Wicked King I gave the wicked king 20/5 stars it was a soooooo fascinating.

And the reasons that I love the wicked king more than the first one is that the romance here was so freaking good I love this hate, love romance so much.

Also I learn more about carden’s personality here and about his childhood life. pulse the world bulding grow in a positive way and Holly Black’s writing was perfect here she describes things more So the story becomes more clear than the cruel princes.
And OMG I didn’t saw this ending to come it was a deadly ending I read the last chapter more than once to make sure if the ending was real I don’t know how I’ll wait another year for the last book it is an agony!!
So After all I assure you that if you didn’t like The Cruel Prince that much you will like The wicked King so give it a try it deserves it. Plus I highly recommend to listening to the audiobook the narrator did Jude character in a professional way also she did act the other characters’s voice very well.

• let me talk about Tayrn And Locke and how the are so foolish and betrayals at first tayran tried to kill Jude when she was going to Madoc house to celebrate the night before Tayrn’s wedding and he stole Jude’s present and give it to Tayrn as it was his gift to her.
And then at the end of the book came Tayrn and acted as she was Jude and made carden signed a boon according to Madoc command.
So i’m So sorry for what I’ going to say but I’m f**king heating both of them.

First I was asking my self the reason for the book name ! Because Carden was soooo sweet and lovely but then come the end and I feel like

jquDWJfPUMCiI.gif

” Never make a bargain with them,” he tells me, “ Not a wise one or a poor one, not a silly one or a stranger one, but especially not one that sounds pretty good.”

I can’t believe it until now that, Jude trusted Carden and married him to become the Queen of Elfhame to make her give him his freedom from his vow and her control but then he EXILE Jude to the mortal world because she killed his brother (Balekin) but Jude killed him because he tried to poison Carden, Stupid Carden . I’m going to lose my mind if I didn’t lose it already to know what Jude going to do in the next book to him it will be an epic revenge I think 👀

I will stop my spoiler here even I know ethere is a lot of things to discuss but the review will be too long unless it is too long already! 😄
